Urgent CQC Portal Changes – Action Plan for Supporting Clients
CQC Providers will be interested in the CQC’s update this afternoon announcing major changes to the CQC Provider Portal that are coming into effect tomorrow, March 8th, 2024, at 6 PM.
To ensure a smooth transition, consider implementing the following action plan:
Key Changes & Deadlines
- Legacy Portal Access Restrictions: The current provider portal will become read-only. You’ll still be able to view historical data for a limited time.
- No More Applications on Existing Portal: You won’t be able to start or submit new notifications, applications (including those for variations), or changes through the old portal.
- Prepare for the New Portal: The new, improved CQC Provider Portal launches on March 11th, 2024.
Please note: Between 11 March and 31 March 2024 you can use the existing portal to view your data but not make any changes or submissions. Your historic data will not transfer to our new portal. You will need to download your data if you want to keep a record.
What You Need to Do Now
- Export Any Data: Download any important data or information from the existing portal before it goes read-only.
- Finish Drafts ASAP: If you have any applications in progress on the old portal, submit them before 6 PM GMT tomorrow or risk losing the application.
- Update Contact Information: Ensure your contact details with the CQC are correct. This is essential for accessing the new CQC Portal. You can update your information with the CQC by clicking here.
- Watch the Tutorial: Get familiar with the new portal by watching a brief introduction video
Key Points:
- The new portal can be used from March 11th onwards for certain actions, but not initially for variation requests.
