The Prime Minister has announced new Covid Plan B rules for England amid the latest Omicron variant.
The new rules include working from home where possible and wearing masks in more public settings.
However, the rules on wearing masks will differ from previous advice.
From 10 December, face coverings will be mandatory in most indoor public venues, including shops and hairdressers, but will not be required in venues like gyms where it’s “not practical to wear them”.
From 15 December, you will need an NHS Covid pass that displays your vaccination status to gain entry in places such as nightclubs and venues that seat more than 500 people.
The new rules have come into place as a reaction to the new Covid variant Omicron, which has been reported to be more infectious and less responsive to vaccines.
As a result of the new variant, the changes will aim to take the pressure off the NHS, which has been under unprecedented strain since the start of the pandemic.
Care 4 Quality.
Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, many of our clients have decided to set-up private organisations in order to support the over-stretched healthcare sector.
The past 18 months has had a remarkable affect on every aspect of life and will leave a long-term impact on the sector.
The need for private healthcare providers will only increase in the post-COVID-19 world, where the NHS will need to work through the backlog that has accrued over the pandemic, as well as their usual work in the years to come.
That’s why we, at Care 4 Quality., are on hand to help. We will support any new or existing private health or social care providers to successfully register with the CQC and maintain their ongoing compliance.
We want to see businesses succeed and flourish in the current climate and our team are passionate about the changes that need to be made in the sector, starting with an increase in private companies who will alleviate the pressures of the NHS and provide much needed services to the public.
