It is each company’s responsibility to ensure that its team members and anyone else associated with the company are not put at risk by any work activities in line with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 (HSAWA).

In addition to this, the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1992 (MHSWR) requires employers to have arrangements in place to cover health and safety, not only for team members but also for others who may be affected by the work activities. This includes any time when they are driving or riding while at work, whether this be in a company or hired vehicle.

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 sets out the law on general fire safety.
