This document aims to summarise and consolidate the information freely available on the CQC’s website regarding the new Single Assessment Framework. To enhance your understanding, we have included additional elements such as suggested evidence and a KLOE (Key Lines of Enquiry) mapping exercise.

We have categorised the key evidence areas by sector groups. In these categories, the CQC will prioritise collecting evidence as a part of their assessment. It is important to note, however, that these lists are a guide and not a definitive checklist. For new registrations or the first assessment under this new approach, evidence will be collected across all key evidence categories relevant to a particular Quality Statement. Other categories may be looked at if evidence suggests this is needed.

The Care Homes and Supported Living category is applicable to:
